They Don't Even Have Fingers, Let Alone Opposable Thumbs

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the King's horses, and all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Why were they using horses to try and reassemble a broken egg? If it was actually an egg. Sure, that's what the pictures show, but what if he was just an unfortunately named, very rotund human? Horses would have been even less help. (Also, hopefully some of the King's men were surgeons). Nursery rhymes are insane if you think about them too much.

Insane for sure. Think about Rock-a-Bye Baby, In a Tree Top.
Why is a baby in a cradle in the top branches of a tree?

How about Bye Baby Bunting, Daddy's Gone a-Hunting. Does that make you think of Criminal Minds? Or is that just me?
